Jason and Erin Owens are simply two people who desire to see others know and walk fully with Jesus. Jason is currently the Equipping Pastor for Discipleship at Westland Free Methodist Church in Westland, Michigan and Erin is an Ordained Elder in the Free Methodist Church, currently serving as a conference evangelist.
Jason and Erin have been married for ~17 years – although she has put up with Jason for 20 years! They have 3 children. The first is their 29 year old named Tyler, who is adopted but is loved just the same. Sophia is their oldest still living with them and she is 10. She loves many things but especially that she gets to be the big sister for her 7.5 year old brother, Elijah!
Jason’s personal mission from the Lord is to equip and empower people to live into their spiritual and natural gifts by the power of the Holy Spirit. Whether this happens as a pastor, worship leader, speaker, basketball coach, grabbing coffee with people, or giving music lessons, this is how Jesus has wired Jason. Before beginning his time at Westland Free Methodist Church he has done this primarily working as a church planter in Lubbock, through full time pastoral work in Abilene and Lubbock, TX, as a worship leader traveling the southern U.S. and as co-director of the Christian Futures Program at the Francis Asbury Society.
Erin’s life mission is to live into, and help others encounter wholeness and holiness. Erin has fulfilled this work as a co-pastor at Hub City Fellowship, the Director of Discipleship at the Texas Tech Wesley Foundation, co-director of the Christian Futures Program at the Francis Asbury Society, and as an evangelist within the Free Methodist Church. She loves to meet with others one on one, in small groups, through retreats, or through conferences and help them encounter deeper levels of freedom through the power of the Holy Spirit.
