The idea of being able to work and get closer to God and meet new people did seem a bit out of my comfort zone, but I applied anyway… God moved so much in my life prior to working at Ceta. I was kinda questioning my faith, but I met amazing people who helped guide me through the words of God again. I would tell new summer staff to take every opportunity to hangout with other staff because they never know how they could change your life in the long run and to not only have fun but also don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone because everyone at Ceta is welcoming.

Ceta Canyon will always have a special place in my heart. While growing up, I attended several One Way camps. It was at one of these camps that I accepted Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior. The camps I attended helped build my relationship with the Lord and enhance my spiritual growth. The memories of the prayer chapel, tabernacle, worship services and the counselors will always be with me. I support the ministry of the camping programs at Ceta Canyon as I know the Lord will bless the youth who attend the camps.

There is an excitement in the air during the month of May at Bushland Elementary, and if you asked any 4th grader, they would definitely know the reason. For thirteen years, our students have been going to Ceta Canyon for Outdoor Education. Our students as well as our parents anticipate Outdoor Ed from the time they enter our preschool program. So you could say, our students either look forward to, or have wonderful memories of, this magical place. With the time restraints at school and the lack of opportunities for many of our boys and girls, being in the great outdoors provides us a laboratory to create a different kind of learning environment and a new and exciting way to inspire our children. Not only do they learn through their shared experiences but gain courage to dare new challenges along the way. Thank you Ceta Canyon, for giving us an unforgettable memory year after year.”
