Hello, and welcome to the first ever Ceta Canyon Camp blog post! We are excited you’ve joined us here
and hope to bring you information about the camp and so much more in the coming days, weeks, and
years.
If you don’t already know us, let me take a minute to introduce you. Ceta Canyon is an off-shoot of the
majestic Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas Panhandle. Palo Duro is the second largest canyon in the United
States and boasts exciting wildlife, hiking trails and scenic vistas. While our small section of the canyon
isn’t as vast, we’ve still got the wildlife, hiking and views to satisfy the naturalist and adventurer in all of
us.
“A Special Place Where God is Experienced and Lives are Changed”
Ceta Canyon Camp is nestled in the canyon so that the rising ridges of the landscape envelope our
guests in a serene and picturesque environment, blocking out the noise and busyness of everyday life.
You might see a rafter of turkeys crossing the road (We’ve counted as many as 20 at a time!) or see a
herd of mule deer making their way to the stream in the evening. A bald eagle may swoop in for a
drink, or you might mark the myriad of birds that make their home in the canyon year-round.
If you require more than just a view, take off on the hiking trails. Discover the falls or the three crosses
and experience the ruggedness of largely untouched land. Who knows? You may even discover an
arrowhead left over from the days when Native Americans camped near the spring.
Whatever you enjoy, Ceta Canyon Camp offers a pristine place to bring your church, business or school
group for a week or a weekend – a retreat to get away from the noise and get into the joy of making real
connections and lasting memories. We are open year-round to provide you quality lodging, dining,
meeting and recreational facilities.
Hope to see you soon!
